break and the repairs to the road that need to follow in queen village. one lane open on columbus boulevard southbound. hopefully it will be open by tomorrow knight. 42 is open in gloucester county, that's good news it was closed because of an overturned truck. in pleasantville route 9 is blocked, main street, shore road or the parkway are alternates odds friday morning. >> marie buck was a beloved fixture in south philadelphia there for decades in the grocery store, the community is gripped with shock and anger as they pay final respects today, she was gunned down christmas eve as an unintended target. annie mccormick is live outside the funeral home on south broad street as police tell us about the murder and the suspect. >> reporter: homicide detectives worked nonstop through the holidays to identify a suspect in the surveillance video and a
number of anonymous tips that helped them. they were aict to make an -- they were able to make an arrest hours before the first viewing for marie buck. mourners waited outside the funeral home on south broad hours before philadelphia homicide captain james clark made the announcement, this man, 31-year-old maurice green was arrested and charged after police say he ruthlessly shot 81-year-old marine buck 11 times inside her corner store. the motive police say green believed buck grandson stole a 5 to $10,000 gold chain from him. the grandson was supposed to be working in the store christmas eve morning, but overslept. >> he opened the door and saw the grandmother at that point he made the choice he was going to kill the grandmother. >> reporter: police think green and buck's grandson knew each
other from the drug trade. buck's generosity was felt by many who group -- grew up near the corner store. >> there's a sense of relief and tragedy if he would have went inside and said this is the deal she would have gave him money. >> it is the saddest thing i ever saw especially coming from a woman like her that did everything for everyone. >> it's just sad, she was so sweet to me. >> reporter: and the suspect green does have a long history of prior arrests. there is another viewing scheduled for this morning followed by a funeral malice. annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." >> tamala, back to you. >> reporter: thank you for that. >> authorities have tripled the reward for information leading to the capture of a wanted murder suspect. $2,500 is being offered that leads cumberland county prosecutors to the arrest and
conviction jeremiah onell who killed his wife in commercial township. a domestic execute led to a car crash, a driver came to a stop in the feltonville of philadelphia. the male driver ran from the scene. the female passenger grabbed a child florida car seat and attempted to chase after the man. police caught up with her a short time later, the child was not hurt. this is just in, russia has announced it is and he will -- 5 american diplomats a lap back to the white house after -- slap back to the white house after announcing russian interference in the 2016 election. they will shut down russian compounds in new york and maryland.
